Fight Night Champion is the next iteration of the popular Boxing series of video games created by EA Sports. This release continues on from the fourth installment, which was met with equal amounts criticism and praise, after a two year hiatus for the franchise. In a departure from previous titles, the aesthetic direction of the game is said to create a grittier or more real interpretation of the sport, with a darker gloss layed over the animations, visuals and presentation. With a demo for the game already released in anticipation, players will notice the similarities and differences between this new game and previous ones.
FIGHT NIGHT GAMES. Step into the ring as some of the greatest boxers to ever don the gloves – including Muhammed Ali and Mike Tyson – as you discover the undisputed champion of boxing games in Fight Night. Whether you choose to play as one of today’s best or a boxing legend, you’ll fight in one of the most exciting boxer line-ups of all.
The big news however, like most fighting based games, is on who you can play as in the game. To this end there are fifty boxers to choose from in the Fight Night Champion roster, each a caricature of a real life legend or big name in the sweet science. Although there are some discrepancies with balance — given the propensity for boxing fans to hale the heavier weights over smaller ones — the Fight Night roster is full of different styles and attributes to suit almost anyone. This article will serve as a full listing of the Fight Night Champion roster, with each fighter and their respective weight class being shown.

Summation of The Fight Night Champion Roster
It remains to be seen how the lack of depth in the lower weight classes impacts on the career or “Champion” mode in the game. Furthermore, the Fight Night Champion roster includes up to fourteen different fighters in the upper weight classes, surely creating an entertaining set of opponents if you create a larger character to play as.
There are few exceptions as far as the obvious picks go, with Tyson, Ali, Leonard, De La Hoya, Foreman and existing fighters like Haye, the Klitschko brothers and Manny Pacquiao. Unfortunately, a glaring hole insofar as currently relevant fighters, the Fight Night Champion roster excludes one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in Floyd Mayweather. Furthermore, upcoming Briton Amir Khan is a miss for a roster that spans multiple generations of ability & champions.
